BOB GROUP, meets at Centerville City Hall at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

JOIN NEST, a parent education class for expecting parents or parents with children up to 5 years old. Any parents can attend by filling out an enrollment packet. The class is Tuesdays at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Extension Office, 501 N. 12th St. in Centerville.

TAKING OFF POUNDS SENSIBLY, “TOPS,” meets Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Weigh-in begins at 6 p.m. and meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

AMERICAN LEGION 280, in Moulton, will meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Legion Hall.

TOUCHING OUR GRIEF, an ongoing educational grief and support group though HCI Care Service, meets the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the office HCI Care Services, 103 E. HONEY CREEK, 9–10 a.m. – Photography Hike – Capture the beauty of a February morning during this one hour hike with a naturalist. Meet at the Activities Building. Wear comfortable clothes. Don’t forget your camera. Great for all ages. Trail is relatively flat and paved with rock chips.

UNIONVILLE IOWA LEGION POST, meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at Legion Building.

NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS, meets Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the basement at Mercy Medical Center. Call (641) 856- 3398 with questions.

ROTARY CLUB, meets each Wednesday at noon at The Manhattan Steakhouse in Centerville.

THURSDAY 20

HONEY CREEK, 4–4:30 p.m. – Shed Hunting Hike – Shed hunting season is here. Explain the trails with a naturalist and learn how to find these awesome animal artifacts. Meet in the Activities Building. Wear warm, comfortable clothes and be prepared to go off trail. Great for all ages.

APPANOOSE COUNTY TOBACCO FREE COALITION, meets the third Thursday of each month at Drake Public Library.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS AND AL ANON, meet Thursdays at 8 p.m. in the basement at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Call (641) 856-3398 with questions.

FRIDAY 21

CELEBRATE RECOVERY, is held every Friday at 6 p.m. at Centerville Assembly of God, 1020 E. Maple St. in Centerville.

MEMORY MINDERS/ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION, holds a support group on the third Friday of each month at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville at 9 a.m. Facilitator Sherrie Doggett may be contacted at (641) 437-4111.

HONEY CREEK, 4–4:30 p.m. – Discovery Hike – Join a naturalist for this half-hour hike to discover the birds of Honey Creek Resort. Meet at the Activities Building. Wear comfortable clothes. Some binoculars and bird guides will be available but participants may want to bring their own. Great for all ages. The trails are relatively flat and easy to walk.

SATURDAY 22

HONEY CREEK, 11–11:30 a.m. – Constellation Viewers – Join a naturalist to make a star wheel and constellation to take home. Meet in the lodge lobby. Great for all ages.

1–1:30 p.m. – Paper Bag Scrapbook – Using just two paper bags we create a cool new scrapbook that you can take home and fill with some of your favorite pictures and souvenirs.

2–3 p.m. – Photography Hike – Capture the beauty of a February morning during this one hour hike with a naturalist. Meet at the Activities Building. Wear comfortable clothes. Don’t forget your camera. Great for all ages. Trail is relatively flat and paved with rock chips.

6–6:30 p.m. – Nature Tales – Join a naturalist around the Activities Building fire ring to enjoy s’mores and listen to stories about nature. If the weather is too severe for the outdoor fireplace we will enjoy the Nature Tales from the warmth of the Activities Building.
