Blood drive draws 37 donors

CENTERVILLE — A blood drive was held at Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church in Centerville Tuesday, Aug. 7.

The Blood Center of Iowa would like to commend the sponsor groups, The Chapter TTT ER, TTT AS and the Hospital Auxiliary, for their significant contribution to the blood drive as well as the Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church for allowing us to hold the blood drive in their facility. We would also like to express appreciation to all the volunteers and donors who made a valuable contribution to the volunteer blood donor program.

Registering the 37 donors Aug. 7 were Rose Cunningham, Chapter TTT ER chairperson and Marilyn Gorden. Servicing the canteen were Sally Donald, Marge Meyers, Kathy Maddaleno and Greta Ogden. Mary Rosencrants and Rose Cunningham provided sandwiches.

The Daily Iowegian, KCOG/KMGO, and Community 1st Credit Union advertised the drive. The publicity committee was Rose Cunningham and Larry Bettis. Set up and take down of the drive was facilitated by Gary Thomas, Rose Cunningham and Caroll VanDyne. Calling donors were Nancy Kilpatrick, Pauline Golick and Caroll VanDyne.
