Mikels’ hold reunion

EXLINE — The annual Mikels reunion was held Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Exline Community Center.

A pot luck dinner was enjoyed at 1 p.m. after prayer was given by Charles Conger.

Those attending were Melba Blue and Donna Blue of Livonia, Mo., Marvin and Sandy Capps and Joni and  Gary Stichter of Davenport, Glenda and Marvin Flynn, Felisha Couch, Phillip and Amy Owings and family, Dan and Sharon West, Sheila West and family, Paul Rinehart, Ed and Debbie West, Marilyn McVay and Daniel D. West of Kirksville, Mo., Clara Mikels and Russ and Alita Mikels of Bloomfield, Gerald and Rosemary Mikels and Charles and Marj Conger of Centerville, Lester Cook of Summerville, Mo., Helen Seddon of Mystic, Dana Carville and Rodney Mikels of Exline and Carolyn and James Bragg of Novinger, Mo.

President Glenda Flynn gave a short meeting. Prizes were awarded to youngest, Maci Owings at 1.5 months, farthest to Lester Cook and most family to Glenda Flynn. New births were Maci Marie Owings, Loren Alertsen, Colton Dean Alertsen, Lydia Rose Mason and Wyatt Claybrooke.

We were entertained in the afternoon by songs sung by Joslin West and clown Barnyard Billy from Ottumwa. He made different balloons for everybody and gave kids rides in his rooster. A good time was had by all. Thanks Delbert.

The next reunion will beheld the last Sunday in September in the Exline Community Center.
