Annual Transfer Day to be held at IHCC
Representatives from nearly 30 colleges and universities will come to the Indian Hills Community College campus in Ottumwa on Tuesday, Oct. 7 for the IHCC’s annual Transfer Day.
The event is designed to allow Indian Hills students to make contacts with and get information about colleges they might be interested in attending after graduating from IHCC.
The three regents universities Iowa, Iowa State and UNI, and many of the four-year private colleges in the state will be on hand.
Lyvier Aschenbrenner, Director of Counseling Services at Indian Hills, said, “This is a perfect opportunity for students to learn more about transferring to a four-year school. They’ll be able to meet with the different representatives, get applications for admission, ask questions and prepare to move on to another school after they earn their degree from Indian Hills. And they’ll be able to do all that without leaving our campus.”
The transfer fair will be held in the formal lounge area outside the Indian Hills library on the Ottumwa campus from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by IHCC Academic Services, the Arts and Sciences Division, the Counseling Department and Student Support Services.
