Former teacher now at IWCC in Council Bluffs

— Ric Wilson of Oskaloosa, formerly of Centerville, has accepted a teaching position with Iowa Western Community College of Council Bluffs for the 2008-09 school year.
Wilson will be an “in the field” advocate working with at-risk students for IWCC in association with four school districts in western Iowa. He will be headquartered in Woodbine.
Wilson taught K-3 physical education and coached in Centerville from 1973 to 1993. He was selected the Iowa Teacher of the Year in 1979.
The past seven years he has been substitute teaching in the Oskaloosa School District and during the summer, Wilson works at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa.
