Five students participated in a Moravia fifth grade flag essay contest sponsored by the American Legion Post 407 of Unionville, Iowa. Winner was Colton Butz who received a $50 savings bond and a winner’s certificate. First runner up was Brooklyn Benjamin and second runner up was Kaitlin Swartz. Becca Albertson and Levi Hawk received certificates of appreciation. In the photo at left are (from the left) Levi Hawk, Becca Albertson, Kaitlin Swartz, Brooklyn Benjamin and Colton Butz.
