Dear Editor,
I was very upset to read the letter in the Thursday edition of the Daily Iowegian, suggesting Kris Koestner step down from city council.
As of that time, Koestner had not been formally charged with any crime. Therefore, he was innocent. You know, Bill Clinton did not step down when he was being investigated.
To you people who have convicted him before he is even charged – shame on you! I would hope that you are never selected to sit on a jury.
Remember this, “Innocent until proven guilty.” You have to be charged with a crime first.
