Letter to the editor:

Last Friday night, the Centerville Redettes basketball hosted PCM in a big game.  It turned out to be quite a special night.  Our Redette team won the ball game and now sports a 6-0 conference record.  While winning the game was exciting, the overall atmosphere is what made the game so special. Through the efforts of many, it was nearly a packed house and there was a “Sea of Red.”

The game went right down to the wire with the Redettes winning 44-41. The crowd chants at the end certainly provided the team with a boost that helped.  A special thanks to Rod Campbell and the sixth grade basketball players, Athletic Director Mr. Pederson for allowing discounted admission, Mr. Deprezio and the Pep Band, Jason McGrann and the Daily Iowegian and KCOG.  But a special thanks to you the fans. We hope to see you at the game this Friday as we host Eddyville-Blakesburg for what looks to be another big game SCC for the Redettes.
