Dear Editor,

At the July 6 council meeting, the Marsha/Bill team stated that when they have a complaint, the housing inspector is to investigate. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with paying this man a huge salary to harass the landlords in this town. He goes randomly to rental properties and harasses the tenants and nitpicks with little things that are no problem. Yet he insists they be fixed and if not he condemns the home and the tenant has to move if they can find a place in this tight economy.

I am out of the rental business now so I am only concerned with his unfair tactics and threats to tenants. My home is near 100 years old, so maybe he'll be coming after it. I would never pass his white glove inspection.
