David Homer Fincher

FREMONT — David Homer Fincher, 58, of Fremont, and a former Moulton resident, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

He was born the son of James Edward and Margaret (Ribar) Fincher on Dec. 3, 1954 in Lindsay, Calif. He received his education at Moulton Schools and Centerville Junior College.

On June 26, 1975, David was united in marriage to Jeanne Seibert in Moulton. He was a truck driver for the Elmer Wood Company and enjoyed doing carpentry work. He loved spending time with his family hunting or fishing what ever the season.

He was preceded in death by: his father, James Fincher on Sept. 20, 2007; and a grandson, David Joseph Fincher.

David is survived by:  his wife, Jeanne Fincher of Fremont; his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Fincher of Moulton; sons, Joey Fincher of Mouton, Greg Fincher and his wife, Jeanette of Ottumwa, Adam Fincher of Ottumwa and Timothy Fincher and his wife, Tara of Haverhill; a sister, Mary Ann Benell of Moulton; and six grandchildren, Alexis Fincher, Kaitlin Fincher, Addison Fincher, Brayden Fincher, Adam Fincher, Jr. and Brantley Fincher.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton with the Rev. Jim Schweizer officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton. Visitation will be held today from 3-8 p.m. and the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Moulton.

Memorials may be made to his family and mailed or left at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton.
