Brunhilde Klara Garman, 82, of Salina, Kansas, passed away in the arms of her loving family, Wednesday, May 7, 2014. She was born April 9, 1932 in Meiningen, Germany.
Raised in Germany, she had many experiences in her younger years during World War II. She married Steve Garman, Jr. in Schweinfurt on June 9, 1956 and had seven children.
She was thought of dearly by her children and grandchildren as a loving mother, grandmother and also great grandmother. Much of her life was devoted to the care of her family, taking on the role of both mom and dad while her husband was away serving our country. She will be missed dearly and lovingly by all of her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Steve Garman, Jr. in August 2003; her parents, Paula and Felix Guder; in-laws, Steve and Jane Garman; and two great-grandchildren, Calvin Tracy and Melina Garman.
Survivors include her daughters, Heidelinde Tarin and husband Pascual of Salina, Kansas, Petra Craddock of Salina, Kansas, Hannnelore Hemmy of Salina, Kansas, Margrit Ballanger and husband Mark of Centerville and Paulette Guzman and husband Tony of Salina, Kansas; two sons, Steve Garman and wife Colleen, of Salina, Kansas and Alex Garman of Elletsville Indiana; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren,
Visitation will be at held today from 1-8 p.m. with the family receiving guests from 6-8 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina, KS 67401.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13 at the chapel.
