Beverlee J. Howe, 71, of 256 S. Moore, died at 10:05 p.m. June 25, 2014 at Hospice House in Ottumwa surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 27, 1942 in Centerville, to Hugh “Midge” and Ruth Tipton Hedberg. She married James L. Howe on July 29, 1961.
A graduate of Centerville High School and Ottumwa Beauty Academy, she was a representative for American Greetings for 22 years.
Beverlee enjoyed biking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, James; two daughters, Cathy (Michael) Britt of Batavia and Chris (Michael) Durflinger of Bloomfield; two sons, James P. Howe of Ottumwa and Eric (Jamie) Howe of Agency; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and four step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her body has been cremated.
Memorial services were held June 28, 2014 at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa.
