Shirley Ann Case, 69, of Melrose, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Monroe County Hospital in Albia.
Shirley was born May 12, 1944, to Frank and Margie (Martin) Lamp in Des Moines. She graduated from Johnston High School in Johnston and later married, Kenny Case.
Shirley worked as ward clerk at Broadlawn Medical Center and retired from Loves Park, Ill. Water Department as office manager. She enjoyed gambling, playing Bingo and was a fantastic bowler.
Shirley is survived by her mother; a sister, Ellen Barr of Melrose; a brother, Frank (Sue) Lamp of Grundy Center; and four nieces and seven nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her father; and a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Sheri Lamp.
As was Shirley’s wish, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
