---- — Doyle Stevens passed away peacefully Sat. May 4, 2013 to be with the Lord.

Doyle was born to Henry and Anna (Walls) Stevens on Feb. 12, 1932, in Coatsville, Mo. He attended Moulton High School and soon after joined the Army, serving in Korea 1950-1952. Doyle married Viola (Boyd) Stevens Oct. 9, 1955 in Ottumwa. Shortly after, they moved to Cedar Rapids, where he was employed at Johnsons Gas Company. In 1973, they moved to Longmont, Colo. where Doyle worked for Dalton Truck Sales. Doyle then opened an upholstery shop from which he retired in 1993.

Doyle loved family time with his kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his little dogs Pinto and Tabby.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim Stevens and Ronald Stites; and three sisters, Fern Cassidy, Norma Daughtery and Eloise Johnson.

He is survived by his twin brother, Dale (Dorothy) Stevens, of Ottumwa and his brother, Tom Stevens, of Longmont, Colo. Doyle is also survived by his four sons, Larry (Jill) Stevens of Beaver Dam, Va., Lonnie (Kathy) Stevens of Longmont, Colo., Darrell Stevens of Johnstown, Colo. and Curtis Stevens of Frederick, Colo.; and two daughters, Brenda Macarages of Fayetteville, N.C. and Sharon (Tony) Molohon of Raeford, N.C. Grandchildren are Nicholas and Matthew Macarages; Brandon Stevens, Shannon Roybal, Shawn Stevens and Shelly Stevens; Jen Stevens, Julie Beydler, Jared and Josh Stevens; William Stark, Ryan Stark, Jamie Langley; Sheridan Stevens and Maxwell Stevens. Doyle cherished his 17 great-grandchildren and his good friends Gary and Debbie Childress.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, Colo. Cremation has been entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
