Paul E. (Kevin) Hill, Jr., age 43 of Centerville died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.

He was born the son of Paul E. Hill and Jo (Gardner) Dyre on Feb. 15, 1964 in Reseda, Calif. He attended the Centerville Schools and New Focus.

He lived at home with his mother. Kevin enjoyed reading, watching videos and listening to music, especially of Elvis and The Monkees. He attended the Gos­pel Chapel in Centerville while growing up. He enjoyed helping around the house and taking care of his pets. Kevin was very special and brought a lot of fun and laughter to his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents; four sisters, Kim Kirkland of Seymour, Kelli (Craig) Hengstenberg of Brookfield, Mo., Kerri (Dave) Boender of Oska­loosa and Missi Cisler of Centerville; nieces and nephews, Dustin (Megan) Kirkland of Danville, Travis (Heather) Kirkland of Centerville, Courtney (Joel) Keiser of Omaha, Neb., Mallory Tandy of Seymour, Brett Mihalovich of Iowa City, Lucas Mihalovich of Indianola and Lexi and Daniel Cisler, both of Cen­ter­­ville; great nieces and nephews, Jayce and Baylor Kirkland, both of Danville, and Cade and Maddie Kirkland of Centerville; and a great-aunt, Bea Hoover. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Mary (Hoover) Gardner, Idus and Georgia (Baker) Hill; a step-father, Roger Dyre; and a niece, Chasity Jo Shiltz.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be today from 9 a.m., until 12:30 p.m. with family present from 11 to 12:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established to the Drake Public Library and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St. Centerville, Iowa.
