Ten members of Moulton-Udell's Agriculture I class traveled to Indianola for the South Central FFA Greenhand Camp Tuesday, Oct. 17.

This camp is designed for first year FFA members, also known as Greenhands, to introduce them to FFA and the Agriculture Industry. These students are working hard to achieve their first degree as FFA members, the Greenhand FFA Degree.

In order to receive this distinguished award, first year FFA members must, among other things, learn and explain the FFA creed, motto, salute, and FFA mission statement. They must also name and describe the meaning of the FFA emblem and colors, demonstrate knowledge of the FFA Code of Ethics, and proper use of the FFA jacket.

Students that attended were Kaleb Brinegar, Mackenzie Clark, Chelsey Harris, Cody Korthaus, Jonathon Mason, Colton Probasco, Karl Ruchti, Autumn Salladay, and Kaylee Stansberry. There were approximately 200 Greenhands FFA members in attendance. Students also had the opportunity to meet Iowa FFA Officers, South Central District officers, and greenhand members from across the district.
