The Centerville City Council Monday night at City Hall will review and consider Golfview Addition's application for voluntary annexation into the city.
The City Council agenda packet delivered to the Daily Iowegian did not contain any additional information concerning the annexation request.
Trees Forever is requesting permission to plant trees on city property. Councilman Rob Lind is expected to give more details about the type of trees and the location.
The council is expected to discuss the need to designate an area where city residents would be able to dispose of yard waste. The agenda states City Hall has been receiving complaints from citizens about the need for such an area.
Street Commissioner Ron Creagan has brought up the yard waste issue at previous council meetings.
Americorps Program, Howar Junior High, is on the agenda to request the use of the city pool — free of charge — on Tuesday, June 19 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. for students who participate in the summer program.
"We were given the use of the pool last year and the kids really enjoyed it," Sue Ellen Wolver writes in the agenda request form. "We would like to have the opportunity to use it again this year."
Mary Mendenhall Clinkenbeard's agenda request to discuss the city's water shut-off policy reads: "The city need(s) to work with families before putting families in the hole(s)."
