Amanda McGill, the 18-year-old daughter of Mark and Myra McGill, was crowned the 2010 Appanoose County Queen Monday night. Amanda is a recent graduate of Centerville High School and Indian Hills Community College. Amanda’s future plans are to attend the University of Northern Iowa this fall and major in math and science secondary education.  

BELOW: From left are Kassi Guinn, the 16-year-old daughter of Eddie and Melanie Guinn, who was named second runnerup. Kassi will be a senior this fall at Moulton-Udell High School. Kassi’s future plans are to attend Indian Hills Community College and then transfer to Iowa State University to receive an undergraduate degree in Pre-Med. First runnerup and Ms. Leadership was Shaniel Smith, who is the 17-year-old daughter of Shawn and Ray Tait and Daniel Smith. Shaniel will be a senior this fall at Centerville High School. Shaniel plans to run for State FFA officer next spring. Afterwards, she plans to attend Iowa State University to obtain a degree in the agricultural industry.
