APPANOOSE COUNTY WEEKLY MEALS, a free meal and fellowship is held every Monday at Faith United Methodist Church on Highway 5 north of John Deere. Meals are available from 5-6 p.m. Rides are not being provided at this time. The menu for today will be beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, peas, cole slaw, homemade bread, jello with fruit cocktail with milk, water, lemonade, coffee and tea to drink. The Centerville Lions Club will host this meal.

TOUCHING OUR GRIEF, an ongoing educational grief and support group though HCI Care Service, meets the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the office HCI Care Services, 103 E. HONEY CREEK, 9–10 a.m. – Beginner Fishing – This is a great class for beginners. Participants will learn how to tie a hook, cast and get hands-on fishing experience. Meet at the Activities Building. All necessary equipment will be provided but participants may bring their own. Great for all ages.

HONEY CREEK, 4–4:30 p.m. – Discovery Hike – Join a naturalist on this half-hour hike to discover the birds of Honey Creek Resort. Meet at the Activities Building. Some binoculars will be provided but guests may want to bring their own. Great for all ages. The trails are relatively flat and easy to walk.

HONEY CREEK, 11–11:30 a.m. – Fish Prints – Join a naturalist in the lodge lobby to learn about fish and make a fish print to take home. Paints will be used while making prints. Wear something that can get dirty. Great for all ages.

Nature Tales, 6–6:30 p.m. Join a naturalist around the Activities Building fire ring to enjoy s’mores and hear stories. If the weather is not suitable, the program will be moved to the lodge lobby.
