HONEY CREEK, 9-10 a.m. – Stand Up Paddleboarding Basics – Join a naturalist to learn the basics of SUP. Meet at the kayaking beach north of the boat docks. Solo paddle boards and paddles will be provided. Some PFDs will be available. This class is for people 12 and older. Minors must have a guardian present and participating. Space is limited. 9-11 a.m. – Kayaking Tour – Get closer to nature during this kayaking tour with a naturalist. This program is for people with some kayaking experience. Participants must feel confident in their abilities to shuttle launch and maneuver their kayak. For people 12 and older. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian. Participants must feel comfortable in the water. Space is limited. To reserve a spot, e-mail activities@honeycreekresort.com.

7-7:30 p.m. – Dutch Oven Cooking Demo – Join a naturalist on the patio of the Activities Building to learn how to use a Dutch Oven for campfire cooking.

8-9:30 p.m. – Sunset Stand Up Paddleboarding – Experienced paddleboarderd may join a guide for an hour of paddle boarding along the resort’s shoreline. For all other requirements see Stand Up Paddleboarding entry above.

8:30-9:30 p.m. – Evening Hike – Join a guide for this nocturnal adventure to discover the happening of the night. Meet on the deck of the Activities Building. Great for all ages.

APPANOOSE COUNTY TOBACCO FREE COALITION, meets the third Thursday of each month at Drake Public Library.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS AND AL ANON, meet Thursdays at 8 p.m. in the basement at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Call (641) 856-3398 with questions.

PARKINSON’S SUPPORT GROUP, will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in Conference Room A at Mercy Medical Center. Patients and caretakers are welcome to attend.

OFF THE SQUARE THEATER COMPANY, will present “Greater Tuna” at 8 p.m. at the Majestic. Tickets will be $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for students.

10–11 a.m. – Kayaking 101 – Learn to kayak for free during this one hour program where participants get hands-on experience shuttling kayaks, getting in and out and paddling on the lake. Meet at the kayak beach north go the boat docks. Solo kayaks and paddles will be provided. Some PFDs are available but participants may bring their own. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet. Must be 12 or older and minors must have a guardian present and participating. Participants must feel comfortable in the water. 11 a.m.–12 p.m. – Family Kayaking – This program is designed for children under the age of 12 with a participating guardian. The child and guardian will learn the basics of kayaking on dry land. When it comes time to launch, the guardian will wade into the water and hold the boat for the child then allow them to demonstrate their paddling techniques. 6–6:30 p.m. – Plant Pressing – Learn the art of pressing plants and the many uses for these beautifully preserved specimens. Meet in the lodge lobby. Great for all ages.

8-9 p.m. – Friday Night Fishing – Join a naturalist to cast your stress away. Meet at the Activities Building. Some fishing poles will be provided but participants can bring their own.

8-9 p.m. – Dusk Kayaking – This program is designed for experiences kayakers 12 and older. Meet at the kayaking beach north of the boat docks. Kayaks and paddles will be provided. PAUL DIXON AMERICAN LEGION POST 340, meets the first Friday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Mystic.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY, is held every Friday at 6 p.m. at Centerville Assembly of God, 1020 E. Maple St. in Centerville.

CENTERVILLE WINE AND ARTS FESTIVAL, will be held on the Centerville Square from 3-8 p.m. Admission will be $15 for wine sampling guests, which includes a custom wine glass, or $5 for non-sampling guests.

HONEY CREEK, 8-9 a.m. – Morning Yoga – Take this outdoor morning yoga class, great for beginners and experienced yogis. In the event of rain, the class will be cancelled. Meet on the great law behind the lodge. Bring a yoga mat. If you don’t have one, a few will be available. Great for all ages.
