March has come in like a lamb. We are so happy to see the warmer weather. We have lots of trips and activities this month and we will need the weather to cooperate.

We start off the month tomorrow with a “Deal or no Deal” game just prior to lunch. The game will start at 10:45 a.m. with tables of senior’s competing against each other with simple trivia.

Monday, March 7 will be the sign-up for the first two 3-day trips. April 11-13 we will be going to Redwing, Minn. Monday, March 11 we will load the buses at 8 a.m. and travel up there and get settled in to our rooms and have the evening to do a little gaming. Tuesday morning we will then meet at 9:30 a.m. and start the morning out at the renovated train depot. This is where the welcome center is located and this is where we will pick our guide up for the day. From here we will tour the Round Barn Farm and have cookies and coffee, go to the Historic Pottery Place, do some shopping and have a chance to indulge in some treats from the Hanisch Bakery, have lunch and tour the St. James Hotel then end the day with a visit to the Hobgoblin. The Hobgoblin is where harps are made. The owner will be giving us guided tour and demonstrating how the harps are made. On this trip we will be staying at the Treasure Island Casino and they will be including; one free buffet, one game of bowling, $3 food voucher to be used in any restaurant, 10 pull tabs and $40 to game on. The cost of this trip double occupancy is $160 per person. The second trip for signing on March 7 is our May 3-5. This trip will be going to Morton, Minn. and to Jackpot Junction. The bus will again be leaving at 8 a.m. At this casino we will not be doing touring. The casino will be giving us $50 cash and 1,000 points. The cost for this trip will be only $100 per person double occupancy. Both trips will require a minimum of 30 people however we will not be able to take more than 52.
