Indian Hills Community College Centerville campus Dean Joe Starcevich Tuesday confirmed the IHCC board voted to approve a budget for a remodeling project.
Starcevich said the board of trustees Aug. 13 approved a budget of up to $500,000 to remodel the existing recreational facility also known as the multi-purpose building at the Centerville campus.
The multi-purpose building, or old gym, is located on the northwest corner of the Centerville campus and houses coach's offices, workout facilities, weight rooms, indoor hitting facilities and locker rooms, Starcevich said.
The remodeling project includes new weight room facilities, new team meeting room, storage, injury room, update to coach's offices and a change to the exterior of the building, Starcevich said.
"Now the time frame is contingent to other opportunities that we might have," Starcevich said. "And other projects that came online that we're waiting for the details right now."
