Reception for Lindenmayer
OTTUMWA — A reception honoring outgoing Indian Hills Community College president Dr. Jim Lindenmayer will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 on the IHCC Ottumwa campus.
Lindenmayer announced his retirement last spring and will leave Indian Hills at the end of this month after nearly 34 years at the college. He was the Adult Education Coordinator and a vice president before succeeding Dr. Lyle Hellyer as president in January 2002.
Dr. Marlene Sprouse has been tabbed to replace Lindenmayer and will be only the fourth president in Indian Hills’ history.
The retirement reception, that is open to the public, will be from 4–6 p.m. in Warrior Junction in the Advanced Technology Center on the Ottumwa campus. A short program will be held at 5 p.m.
