Then the main event, a 4K run/walk will begin at 6 p.m. The run/walk will also be humans versus zombies, with the human participants being forced to dodge and run from the zombies laying in wait around the map. Zombies will be held to more of a shuffling pace during this event.
Humans will have three glowing flags and will try to complete the entire course without being downed by a zombie by losing all three flags. if this happens, the human becomes a zombie. Zombies will have one flag each. If they lose their flag to a human they are frozen for one minute, but if they have captured any other flags they can use those to continue. This year’s course will also feature two obstacle sections, including a small wall that participants will need to climb as well as a crawling portion.
