The local American Red Cross is making one final call for nominations for their Heroes of the Heartland event. Do you know someone who has performed an extraordinary act of courage or dedicated countless hours to a special cause? The American Red Cross serving greater Iowa is looking for common citizens, the unheralded and unselfish pillars of our community.
Nominations for the Heroes of the Heartland event in Des Moines are still being taken for this local recognition event, but only until March 1. The Red Cross is depending on the public to nominate individuals that have performed an extraordinary act of courage or has put in countless hours to a special cause. We hope that this opportunity encourages people to nominate friends, co-workers, relatives; anyone they believe should be recognized at the event. Nomination forms can be found on-line at www.redcross.org/iowa, found at local businesses or picked up at the local Red Cross office.
Nominations will be accepted now through March 1. Nominations may be mailed to the American Red Cross serving Greater Iowa office, 2116 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312, emailed to email@example.com or faxed to (515) 244-8012 by midnight on March 1.
