Halloween hike and hay rack rides coming up

Today join in the annual Halloween Hike at Sharon Bluffs State Park. Hikes will leave the shelter house at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Each hike lasts approximately 45 minutes. Liquid refreshments like coffee, hot chocolate and apple cider will be served along with other goodies like cookies. Prizes will be awarded for best costume, so get creative and dress up. A free will donation will be accepted.


Tomorrow the annual trail drive sponsored by the Appanoose Conservation Foundation will take place at Lelah Bradley Park. The first trailer loaded with hay bales to sit on will leave the upper reservoir shelter house at 1 p.m., the second at 2 p.m. and the third at 3 p.m. Each drive lasts approximately 50-60 minutes. Food and drink will be served at the shelter house. A free will donation will be accepted.
