---- — Phillip H. Brown, operations manager with the US Army Corps of Engineers at Rathbun Lake, reports current reservoir elevation is 915.22 msl with 904.0 msl the normal operating elevation. The reservoir crest prediction is 917.97. Current inflow for Chariton and South Fork tributaries is 8,380 cfs.

Downstream gages at Chariton River at the Moulton gage is 10,600 cfs and Chariton River at the Novinger, Mo. gage is 20,000 cfs.

Brown said once downstream conditions improve, they will begin releasing the maximum amount allowed, 800 cfs as per the seasonal restrictions of the water regulation manual.

Brown cautioned people to be careful and obey road restrictions if traveling around the lake. There are areas that barricades have been placed for the public’s safety.
