Centerville Abstract Company is pleased to announce the addition of Winona Whitaker to its abstracting team. Winona joins Denise Rietter and Megan Messamaker in the abstracting office at 303 W. State St. in Centerville.
Winona is a Centerville native and a graduate of Centerville High School. She was City Editor of the Daily Iowegian and worked for Wells Manufacturing Corp. before leaving the workforce to be a stay-at-home mom and pursue free-lance writing. She and her husband Larry have three grown children, Samantha, Alison and Vincent. She returned to the work force to a position requiring attention to detail coupled with a historical orientation and an understanding of land and real estate terminology. Her thoroughness and concise communication skills serve her well in this profession.
Winona’s civic-mindedness is apparent in her active involvement as a member of Friends of Drake Public Library and The Appanoose County Historical Society. Additionally, she writes a monthly column for Appanoose Living Magazine.
“Winona’s background, experience and broad skillset complement the client centric orientation of Centerville Abstract,” said Centerville Abstract manager Neil MacArthur. “We feel very fortunate to have Winona on our team and I’m confident our clients will value and appreciate her demeanor and customer orientation.”
