The current and proposed policies are linked below this story.
The Centerville Community School Board of Education will be seeking public input on a revised good conduct policy tonight.
The public hearing will be held in the Simon Estes Auditorium at Centerville High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The board will make no decisive action at tonight’s meeting. However, the board is seeking input from community members.
Any member of the public may speak at the hearing. There is no need for prior permission, as long as the comments pertain to the good conduct policy.
The proposed policy updates how the number of contests or events a student would miss is determined, depending on the number of previous violations of the good conduct policy. The new policy also features extended sections on the appeals process and policy violations.
