Group announces firm name change
OSKALOOSA — TD&T Financial Group, P.C. has announced they will change their name to TD&T CPAs and Advisors, P.C., effective immediately. Though ideas of a name change have been in progress for some time, TD&T’s firm has come to a concise decision on how to move forward. Along with a new name, TD&T CPAs and Advisors have also added a new tagline, Grow With Us.
TD&T is a leading CPA and consulting firm and has nine offices in communities throughout southeast Iowa — Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Centerville, Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant, Muscatine, Oskaloosa, Ottumwa and Pella.
Nov. 18, 1931: Moved by the suffering of people in the Depression, Centerville school pupils organize a “Student Relief Committee.” They organize donations around a day of the week: Monday, potatoes; Tuesday, clothes; Wednesday, vegetables; Thursday and Friday; a nickel or a dime dropped into barrel-shaped boxes on each teacher’s desk.
Nov. 19, 1920: The Iowegian reports Centerville’s Oscar V. Payne invented the Tommy Gun while working at the U.S. Army Ordnance Department for Gen. John Thompson who gave his name to the gun.
