CENTERVILLE — An epic story of a mafia vendetta and drama filmed almost entirely in Centerville, with a scene in West Des Moines, and with almost the entire cast and crew from Centerville, will premiere April 3 at Cinema 4 Fridley Theatre, former Centerville resident Kham Ung said.

"'Blood Consequence' was shot on zero-budget and contains practically everyone we knew," Ung said. "We had to pull in favors from a friend of a friend of a friend, and it took us a year to do. The accomplishment of this movie was huge considering the constraints that we had to face."

Nick Young, a Centerville native and the film's director, attends film school in Kansas City and others involved in the movie have jobs and family, which made it even more difficult. And then we had to  arrange times to get people together for filming, Ung said.

Filming for the movie began in mid-2008, Ung said, and has all but finished until it was decided to do some last minute re-shooting to clean up some scenes and strengthen the story line.

"Blood Consequense" will premiere at Cinema 4 Fridley Theatre on April 3 starting at 10:15 a.m. - 1 p.m. Cast members and others involved in the film will be present. To view the movie trailer go to
