Braster, Lange and Sharp elected

---- — Martin Braster, Tom Lange and Joe Sharp were selected by voters to the Centerville Community School District School Board in Tuesday’s election, according to unofficial vote totals released by the Appanoose County auditor’s office.

Unofficially, Braster was the top vote getter of all candidates with 458. Lange had 388 while Joe Sharp had 299.

Braster and Lange were incumbents on the ballot. Sharp will fill the seat of Jeri Pershy, who did not run for re-election.

The fourth candidate on the ballot, Brad Grothe, received 198 votes.

Write-in candidates Angela Ocker received 295 votes, Scott Jackson received 183 and Steve Hoch received 159.

Centerville’s Public Measure A passed with 589 votes for yes, 78 votes for no.

For the Moravia School District, Chris Spenser, running unopposed, received 150 votes for the director of district one seat. John Houser narrowly edged out Richard Redinbach for the district three seat, unofficially, by one vote. Houser received 86 votes and Redinbach received 85.

Chad Howard and Andrea Snider were the two voted for the director at-large seats. Howard received 90 votes and Snider received 62. Other vote-getters were Brian Davis with 41 votes, Benjamin Hansen with 14 and one vote scattering.

Richard Sharp, running unopposed for the district eight seat for Indian Hills Merged Area XV received 737 votes to win the seat. One vote was scattering.
