Krazy Connie’s Landing will be closed for approximately two months as most of what’s there now will be torn down and replaced.
Krazy Connie’s Landing restaurant near Plano on Appanoose County Highway S70 will be closed until November for a remodeling project.
Connie Brown, owner, Saturday morning said she hopes to reopen for business sometime before mid-November.
It may not be so much a remodeling project as it’s a complete makeover, almost. The existing structure will be demolished and a new Morton/metal-style building exclusive to Lancaster Lumber will take it’s place.
Brown said the exterior decks will stay and the new building will be built up to them.
Other things to remain include the nearly new wood tables, chairs and the bar stools will be recovered.
Some things will be new, like additional seating, additional menu items, a new bar, windows and a concrete floor.
In the works, Brown said, is the possibility they may start offering breakfast.
Brown employs from two to eight, depending on the day of the week. Krazy Connie’s Landing is open seven days a week.
Brown opened her restaurant in the current building on Aug. 5, 2008. She said the building has had at least three additions.
Brown said she leases the property from a man who lives in Omaha. He decided to have it torn down instead of adding on.
