The Cincinnati City Council will meet Monday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at Cincinnati Community Center.
Items on the agenda include communications and announcements, approval of agenda with any additions, approval of Aug. 12 meeting minutes, approval of Aug. 15 meeting minutes, approval of July expenditures, approval of July financial reports, clerk — permission to stop payment on check No. 8312 (4-4-12) to Appanoose County Sheriff and reissue a new one, discuss and decide school building insurance level and cost, J. Herr family request to dig opening for cremain interment, county owns property at 201 E. Pleasant St. now and how does council want to handle sewer assessments, open burning info from Iowa DNR in regards to buildings and yard waste, discuss quote for removal of dead trees in Evergreen Cemetery, discuss permanent posting place at 100 W. Pleasant St., discuss maintenance change to working hours during school year, discuss complaints about dog at City Hall, discuss maintenance time off in regards to restrictions when workload is heavy, operations manager: present proposal to send request for qualifications letters to engineering firms as part of the new wastewater treatment study, Res. 13-26: approve transfer of funds from sewer savings into debt service sinking fund to cover 7-1-12 debt payment, Res. 13-27: use LOST funds to cover negative balances from FY12 final audit as of 6-30-12, Res. 13-28: correct water CD fund balances, Res. 13-29: use certain FY13 fund balances in FY14 to pay bills, discuss need for cash on hand operating fund balance — possible resolution to establish fund, follow-up on financial policy development ideas, department reports from volunteer fire department, park and community, cemetery, water and sewer utilities and roads and public comments.
