---- — A 39-year-old Centerville man is heading to state prison after an Appanoose County judge found him guilty of violating his probation.
Judge Kirk A. Daily Aug. 16 revoked Jeremy Joe Blew’s probation and imposed the original five year prison sentence from a case he adjudicated in 2010.
Judge Daily on Aug. 6, 2010, sentenced Blew to five years in prison, all suspended, to five years probation with the Department of Corrections on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, third or subsequent offense, class D felony with an offense date of Dec. 31, 2009.
The criminal complaint affidavit filed Jan. 4, 2010 by Centerville Police Department states during a search of Blew’s residence in the 900 block of East Maple items found included marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The affidavit states Blew has six drug convictions in Appanoose and Monroe counties.
Blew’s first probation violation in this case was filed Aug. 21, 2012 by the DOC after he was arrested Aug. 20, 2012 in Appanoose County and charged with stragulation domestic assault, class D felony, after he allegedly chocked, kicked and punched his spouse.
The court issued a warrant for Blew’s arrest on Aug. 21, 2012. Blew made an initial appearance for the probation violation on May 9, 2013 and posted bond.
On June 14, 2013 the DOC filed a probation violation addendum stating Blew did report to his supervising officer on May 10 but failed to report or contact his supervising officer on May 23, 2013.
The court issued a warrant for Blew’s arrest on June 14, 2013. Blew was arrested July 21, 2013 and held in the Appanoose County Jail pending a probation revocation hearing scheduled for Aug. 16.
Blew’s other Appanose County felony case was a conviction for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, third or subsequent offense, class D felony where he was sentenced Nov. 4, 2005 by Judge Daily to five years in prison, suspended, to three years probation and 180 days in a residential facility.
Blew was found guilty of probation violation in this case and on Feb. 17, 2006 and Judge Daily imposed the 180 days in a residential facility.
Blew owes Appanoose County $5,571.03 for the adjudication of the two felony cases.
