OTTUMWA — The 2013 annual Indian Hills Community College student art exhibition will open on Monday, April 29 with an opening reception from 7-8:30 p.m. in the art gallery on the college’s Ottumwa campus. Many of the student artists will be present during the reception, making it a great time to come and see their art work. The exhibit will be on display through Thursday, May 9.
This exhibition represents the creative work of Indian Hills students who have been enrolled in art courses on the Ottumwa and Centerville campuses during the past academic year. A wide array of media, both traditional and non-traditional, from wire to watercolor, will be displayed. Mark McWhorter and Lisa Fritz are the Indian Hills art instructors.
“The students have been very busy this year and will have a lot of art work on display,” McWhorter said.
The Indian Hills Art Gallery is located in the Main Campus library at 525 Grandview Ave. in Ottumwa. The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
