According to a press release from the Centerville Fire Department, on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at approximately 2:02 p.m. the Appanoose County Law Center received a 911 call of a house fire at 18917 Sunshine Road. The caller stated the house was fully engulfed in fire. Emergency crews were immediately dispatched including the Centerville Fire Department, Mercy Ambulance and Appanoose County Sheriffs deputies.
First arriving fire crews reported a single family residence with heavy fire showing. Fire crews immediately began trying to extinguish the fire and requested the Mystic Fire Department for assistance. It took firefighters approximately two hours to bring the fire under control. The home which is owned by Trevor Radosevich is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is currently under investigation.
The Centerville Fire Department was assisted by the Mystic Fire Department and first responders, Mercy Ambulance Service, the Appanoose County Sheriffs Department and Alliant Energy.
