CENTERVILLE — The charge of one count of threat of terrorism leveled against a Centerville man has been dismissed.
Brian Joseph Davis, 51, was accused in early April of making multiple threats regarding the lack of security at Centerville schools, according to a Centerville Police Department press release issued April 3. Davis allegedly said “he could walk into any school in town and start shooting kids.”
Davis also allegedly said by him saying these words security would change.
The court on June 14 dismissed the one count of threat of terrorism, a class D felony. June 14 was the day Davis was scheduled to be formally arraigned on the charge.
Davis passed away May 14 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Davis was held on a $50,000 cash bond at the time of his arrest.
