---- — Krazy Connie’s Landing on Highway S70 north of Plano has changed.

No, it’s not the great food at great prices owner Connie Brown serves up at her and husband Kim’s restaurant.

What has changed is the building, which was torn down and rebuilt. Now, Krazy Connie’s Landing is about 450 square-feet larger than before and now can sit more than 100 at one time.

Other improvements include a larger kitchen and bar.

Brown said they closed the restaurant on Sept. 7, 2013 and reopened on Feb. 24, 2014.

Brown said future changes include the addition of pizza and pasta dishes to the menu and a Tiki bar just west of the restaurant.

Krazy Connie’s Landing is open seven days a week. Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. They open at 7 a.m. on Sunday for breakfast.

Their menu includes specials many days of the week along with sandwiches, ribs, broasted chicken, seafood, meatloaf, tacos and steaks.

Brown said customer’s reaction to the new facility has been very good.

“We have been very busy,” Brown said. “It’s been very good so far. They’ve truly supported us in our reopening.”

Help Krazy Connie’s Landing raise money to fight Alzheimer’s by either donating or signing up to participate in their third annual Alzheimer’s Golf Benefit at the Preserve at Honey Creek Resort State Park on Saturday, June 14 at 8 a.m. For more information, or to donate or to sign up for the tournament call (641) 649-2609 or (641) 895-1326.

A goodwill lunch will be served at Krazy Connie’s Landing following the tournament.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the American Alzheimer’s Association Ottumwa division.

Brown said last year they raised $5,300 for Alzheimer’s research.

Krazy Connie’s Landing is located at 12166 Highway S70 north of Plano. The phone number is (641) 649-2609.

What's in a name? Connie Brown, who with her husband Kim owns Krazy Connie's Landing, said they originally had a different name planned for their restaurant. "it was supposed to be K period C period apostrophe s. K.C.'s Landing," Brown said. "And then the night before we opened a friend of ours walked in and said, 'I know what the K.C. stands for, Krazy Connie's.' And so we just switched it."
