While it was not on Monday's Centerville City Council meeting agenda, a brief discussion took place about trees being cut down in the city park.
Councilman Rob Lind said the city was concerned about dead, malformed and thick areas of trees. Certain trees needed to be cut down, Lind said, to improve areas for public use.
"I think it's for the good of the park for the future and it should have been done 20 or 30 years ago instead of waiting until now," Lind said. "It's something that we need to do."
