UPDATE: Arrests now at six in drug bust

UDELL — Search warrants served Tuesday, Jan. 22 and Wednesday, Jan. 23 by the Appanoose County Sheriff’s office, members of the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Centerville Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and Iowa State Patrol in Udell and Centerville has resulted in six arrests, according to a press release issued by the Appanoose County Sheriff’s office.

Search warrants were served Tuesday at the residence of Jodi Ann Sindt, 403 Main St., the residence of Cliff Lowe, Fourth and School Street, the residence of Nunzio Lloyd, 411 Wall St. and a garage at Fifth and Main Street.

During the investigation, evidence conducive of the manufacturing of more than five grams of methamphetamine was found in a garage at Fifth and Main Street.

As a result of the investigation the following individuals were arrested and charged in Udell:

Cliff Allen Lowe, 40, of Udell,  is charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony, possession of a firearm by felon, a class D felony, possession of a precursor with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, a class D felony, and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony. Lowe is being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff awaiting appearance and bond by a magistrate.

Jodi Ann Sindt, 49, of Udell and Nunzio V. Lloyd, 29, of Udell, areboth charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony. Sindt and Nunzio V. Lloyd are being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff awaiting appearance and bond by a magistrate.

Marilyn M. Lloyd, 28, of Udell, is charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony. Marilyn Lloyd is being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff awaiting appearance and bond by a magistrate.

Anna Marie Scott, 31, of Centerville, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 22 and charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony. Scott is being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff on a $200,000 bond.

On Wednesday, Jan. 23 at approximately 1:45 a.m. a search warrant was served at the residence of Floyd Richard Brooks, 910 E. Jackson St., Centerville. As a result of the search warrant, Brooks, 49, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony. Brooks is being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff on $200,000 bond.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
