CENTERVILLE — The National Wild Turkey Federation and the Potterfield Foundation Thursday afternoon presented the Centerville High School trap shooting team a $20,000 endowment.

Lyle Brinegar, NWTF Chariton Valley Gobblers president, presented the check to trap shooting team members Josh Bullerd and Ethan Hawk, FFA members Katie Morris, Maranda Rupalo and Shelby Thamke, and Elizebeth Gaskins, Centerville Ag Instructor, FFA advisor and trap coach and Rob Busch, Centerville High School athletic director in the Simon Estes Auditorium Thursday afternoon.

The actual check will be presented to the shooting team at the annual Chariton Valley Gobblers banquet at Soap Creek Lodge in Unionville, Iowa on April 19 at 5:30 p.m.

The endowment recipients will be honored at the banquet, Brinegar said.

"The money will be used to pay registration fees for the high school shooting team to participate in their meets," Gaskins said.
