Plea bargain nets probation

---- — An Illinois man accused of felony C, lascivious acts with a child, fondle or touch, plea bargained to probation in the Wayne County Courthouse.

Adam Michael Jennings, 24, of Macedonia, Ill., plea bargained to the lesser charge of indecent contact with a child, which is an aggravated misdemeanor. Wayne County Judge Terry Rickers July 3 sentenced Jennings to a fine, two years in prison, suspended to two years probation, sign up on the Sex Offender Registry, complete a correctional program at Fort Des Moines and upon completion of sentence submit to the custody of the Department of Corrections for 10 additional years.

Hamilton County, Ill. authorities arrested Jennings March 26 on a Wayne County warrant alleging the defendant committed lascivious acts with a child in January and February of 2013.

At the time of his arrest, Jennings was held on a $10,000 cash bond only.

Jennings owes $1,394.30.
