The Appanoose County Board of Supervisors Monday, Nov. 19 in the Boardroom of the Courthouse approved a resolution to hold a public hearing on Dec. 3 at 9:15 a.m. in the Appanoose County Courthouse to consider the sale of property in Moravia.
The board determined the land was no longer needed for the purpose for which it was acquired by the county, and it's in the best interest of the county to sell the property.
Following the public hearing an auction will be held in which the property will be sold to the highest bidder with the county reserving the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
In other action:
The board voted 3-0 to approve the proposal for design services on Deputy Bridge.
The board voted 3-0 to accept the county's insurance bid from Power Insurance in the amount of $216,129.
The board voted 3-0 to approve family farm, homestead and military exemptions.
The board voted 3-0 to approve HCC for health insurance coverage with Kirby Moss getting the final figures.
