Centerville resident Brian Hargrave has accepted the position of team director of HCI Hospice Care Services’ Centerville team. In this role, Hargrave is leading the team’s efforts to provide quality hospice care, as it has offered the community locally for 17 years, and to reach out to those who might benefit from services.
Hargrave has worked for the organization for the past three years as a spiritual care and bereavement counselor, supporting patient and caregiver spiritual needs and offering counseling after the death of a loved one.
“Brian has done an amazing job of promoting our organization’s services, connecting with the community and supporting our Centerville team,” said Danielle Pierotti, RN, MSN, AOCN, CHPN, PhD, director of clinical practice and chief nurse with HCI Care Services. “His proven leadership is a great fit for this position.”
Hargrave brings a background in community service and leadership to his new role. He is past board president of the Appanoose County Baseball Association, with which he continues to volunteer, has been active with the local Rotary Club and has served on the boards for Drake Library Association and Hope Pregnancy Center. He also serves as interim pastor with First Baptist Church in Humeston.
Born and raised in Centerville, Hargrave and his wife Melissa are graduates of Moulton-Udell High School. They live in Centerville with their three children.
