The public is invited to join several Indian Hills Community College professors on the Chicago Fine Arts Tour on Oct. 25-27. Tour escorts will be art professor Mark McWhorter, science professor Heidi Peterson and Director of Fine Arts, Dr. Jennifer Boyenga.
Highlights of the tour will include a performance of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical “Once” at the Orpheum Theatre, an architectural sailing trip on the Tall Ship “Windy” at Navy Pier and a visit to the world famous Chicago Art Institute where participants will be able to see the newly-opened modern art wing, as well as the museum’s outstanding collections of 19th century European art.
There will also be an afternoon and evening open for sightseeing, visiting other museums or shopping on the Magnificent Mile. The cost of the trip is $505 per person/double occupancy with breakfast included for two days. The group will travel by motor coach and stay at the Downtown Chicago Travelodge which is within walking distance of Millennium Park, the theatre district and the museum district.
