Bloomfield's water supply running on empty

Daily Iowegian

BLOOMFIELD — The Bloomfield City Council has decided to look into alternate water sources so that a continuous supply of good drinking water would be available to its residents because over the past 15 to 20 years in Bloomfield the city reservoir has gotten low on water supply, according to a story posted on the KTVO web site.

Options range from $2 to $8 million include hooking up with Rathbun and doing away with the city’s water treatment plant or building a second lake.

The Bloomfield City Council is expected to make a decision by June 1.
