A Seymour was sent to state prison for his third drunken driving conviction, a class D felony.
Clyde Emery Surber III, 46, was sentenced by Martha L. Mertz in the Wayne County Courthouse on Dec. 18 to five years in state prison, revoked his driver's license for six years, ordered a DNA specimen, fine and other costs of $3,125 and given credit for 21 hours served.
The offense date for his third offense was Jan. 16, 2012. Surber III entered a negotiated, voluntary guilty plea to the criminal charge.
All told Surber III owes $4,622.55.
An associated charge of false imprisonment, a serious misdemeanor, with an offense date of Jan. 16, 2012 had no adjudication records according to Iowa Courts Online.
