Register for the Kiddie Parade in front of First United Methodist Church at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Entries will be assigned a number. Participants line up for the parade starts at 9:40 a.m. and the parade starts at 10 a.m.
There will be tables set up with designated places for each category: bicycles, small vehicles, costumes, pets, floats and ponies.
Small vehicles this year may include “Power Wheels” which are battery operated; however, a parent must accompany the entry around the square. No motorized vehicles (such as mopeds, go-carts, motorcycles, ATVs or remote controlled vehicles) will be allowed. All of these types of vehicles will be turned away and not given a participation number.
Floats may be pulled by lawn mowers or garden tractors. ATVS may be used but must be driven by an adult. The committee has final say on vehicles pulling floats.
Suckers and participation ribbons will be passed out as entrants register.
When the parade is over the results will be taken to the main stage for announcement. There will also be a poster at the information tent. There are ribbons for first, second and third place.
