CENTERVILLE — The recently formed Betterment or Bust group has been jumping into projects around Centerville in the last few weeks.

The group has been doing a lot of painting around town, including the State Street Trolley’s home garage at State Street Station  and a home on South 18th Street this past Saturday and Sunday.

According to BOB member George Johnson, the home, located at 1725 S. 18th St. and owned by Justin and April Thomas was painted by BOB volunteers with funding for the paint from Chariton Valley Regional Housing Trust Fund.

Another project the BOB group recently helped complete was finishing improvements at the Henry Little tennis courts at Morgan E. Cline  City Park. The group was able to finish the work with help from  a fundraising dinner held outside J&K and volunteer help from the Centerville girls tennis team, Lee Den Hartog, Bob Greene and others.

BOB meets every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Centerville City Hall. Anyone is welcome to share ideas for improvements around town or to volunteer.
